Although I am a reluctant blogger, a few of my friends convinced me that I should share with you some of my thoughts about what’s going on in my life and career, especially as last year saw two new projects for me – my one-woman show called A Handsome Woman Retreats, and the series of children’s books I co-wrote with my husband, Kevin Knotts, titled Amy Hodgepodge that follows the adventures of multiracial Amy Hodges. I’ve been so fortunate to have a wonderful reception from everyone so far for both projects and am excited about the future.
So, without further ado, I am happy to introduce my blog to the world. Get ready for more! Please leave me comments and let me know what you are thinking.
This site is currently under construction! But stay tuned!!!

Kinda old fashioned, still like writing letters and talking on the phone, but what can I say other than ‘World of 2009 I am here!’ going to order your book and read to my grandchildren, try to teach them about love, kindness, and generousity. Showing them that with a closed fist nothing can get in or out, have to extend an open hand. I am following you on twitter….would love to hear more of your ideas and thoughts,,,,just listening and tweeting. Thank you
Cant wait to see your blog in action.
follow me on twitter as well, as I follow you.
Looking forward to your blog. Have you ever thought about video blogging?
Hi! I was trying to send you a direct message on Twitter to thank you for the retweet, but then I found your blog. Your Amy Hodgepodge series looks great. I just ordered Willimena Rules! Rule Book #6: How to Face Up to the Class Bully (Bk. 6) at Amazon, and will preview it and possibly give it away on my blog. If there’s a newer one that you’d like to add to that, please let me know.
I’m glad to have found your books! Oh, and thank you so much for the retweet!
Kim,
Congratulations on the release of your children’s books – I’ve added them to my site’s sales inventory. I’ve been a huge fan of your family’s work for years; keep it up!

Thank you Kim for responding to my tweet! I am a newcomer to the world to blogging. I have been blessed by the man of above to be a vessel and vehicle for your younger generation. I was the victim of hate crime merely because of myself, husband & 2 young children were african american…a 7ft cross was burned on our front lawn the morning of Juneneenth several years ago. In efforts to heal and bring forth awareness, I designed and created the first-ever Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. flag! My vision is to get the flag in every school and church across the United States. I can afford to donate a flag to every school, hence I am in need of individuals, businesses, organizations and corporations to sponsor a school or church. That way…the MLK Flag will be showcased for the world’s eyes to see. If not for Dr. King who lost his life and paved the way for many of us….we would not be where we are today. Including the First African American President. Please join me in getting the message out. Contact http://www.rossflags.com for more information on how to make sure a church or school or your choice receives a Dr. King flag with credits and goodwill in donors name. Sincerely, Maria Ross, Founder and Creator of First-ever Dr. Martin Luther King Flag.
Hey Kim What’s Good? It’s been great hearing from you (back on the movies and what not). I grew up watching your movies from I’m gonna get you sucka to In Living Color and so forth. It’s a shame that now that I’m 24 and able to watch your work freely that your hardly on the screen. But when you do make your guest appearances I soak it up to the fully girl. You keep me laughing and I want to see more of you. In DanceFlick you had me rolling!! Keep it up girl. I’m glad you put out the blog because I felt abandonned. Your brothers always keep me entertained but I always have to see you come out from the distance and put the icing on the cake. Don’t be shy girl. The world loves you! I love you. Peace!
Just found you and ‘Amy’ on Twitter. Actually, I think Amy recommended you!
I think it’s wonderful! I am a great fan of you and your brothers and laughter to me is great medicine! I wish you much luck in all of your future endeavors, hopefully you come to Illinois with your show!
